![]() ![]() ![]() I'd say you'd probably want to start with at least a 12 or 13 point captain as soon as possible, with EL (and PT if you choose), EM, AR, SI, and CE, followed by BoS, JoaT, and PM in that order. Not running FP hasn't ever bothered me as much as it would on a battleship, and I'd rather have BoS and Damacon 2 to bring fire duration down to almost the 45 seconds it was originally over only having 3 fire spots instead of 4. A lot of people would normally recommend trying to fit FP on, but in all the times I've played Alaska, the only times I've had more than two or maybe three fires at once were the few situations I was kiting away from a flank that had completely crumbled with no support and dealing with at least 4-5 HE spammers (the only time I can ever recall having a consistent 3 and often going up to 4 was against a Conq, two Zaos, a Worcester, and a Harugumo, and having FP there wasn't going to do more than prolong the inevitable by another few seconds). With the reload mod and improved EL, you can switch shells in around 4 seconds before AR even starts to kick in, and the improved EM counteracts some of the negatives of the reload mod. The only thing I might think of changing in the modules is switching to the radar mod in slot 2, but it normally wouldn't give you enough time to get an extra shot off, instead just giving you a little more time if you misjudge the enemy DD's position before popping radar. It's mostly based on some of the builds I saw tested and recommended in the WIP videos from CCs before she was released, but tweaked slightly to favor survivability a little more than tanking (see below). This is what I've been running since she was released last year (using one of the Doe brothers because of how well the improved skills work on Alaska, although I'd probably use the same build with a normal captain). ![]() Ok thanks! and what build do you suggest with her for a dedicated? ![]()
